Tearing your hair out over all the different formats for your creations?

No need to panic. We've put together a guide for you (and your creatives) with formats and dimensions for each control panel.

We also give you our 3 generic formats at the end of the article that ensure good rendering in the vast majority of cases, without any headaches.

Why prepare your advertising visuals in several formats?

Quite simply because there are so many different types of advertising space (news feeds, stories, in-stream video, and so on...). Providing ad networks with only some of these formats is simply to deprive yourself of the locations concerned by the other formats, and therefore of the impressions, clicks and sales you could generate on them.

File formats for your ads campaigns

Whatever the control system, we recommend that you use images in PNG or JPG formatand videos in MP4 format.

This ensures perfect compatibility with all controllers.

Generic formats for ads recommended by Mangrovea

While the best practice is to use precisely the formats of each platform, producing your content in those precise dimensions, a cost-effective approach may be to produce your content mainly in these three formats, which should ensure good rendering in 95% of cases.

You've probably noticed that certain formats and key figures come up particularly frequently. That's why we recommend the following generic formats:

  • 1080 x 1080px 1:1 square, especially for carousels, wires, etc.
  • 9:16 portrait at 1080 x 1920px, especially for stories, real life, shorts and the like
  • 16:9 landscape at 1920 x 1080px, particularly suitable for in-stream videos and feeds

As far as video length is concerned, if you make videos between 8 and 15 seconds long, you'll be successful in the vast majority of cases.
